Diesel Engine Options:
.) New Diesel Engines (Factory Overstock) - Available on some older engines. Factory overstock engines are manufacturer over runs that are sold to a surplus supplier for either domestic sales or export sales. In most cases the engines will retain a full factory warranty that is activated once the engine serial number is submitted to the original manufacturer. These engines come as complete longblock engine assemblies and have some bolt on accessories. Please ask your engine specialist for details on the completeness of the engine you need.
.) Remanufactured Longblock Diesel Engines - Available on most diesel engines. On a longblock remanufactured diesel engine the only used parts are the short block housing, cylinder head housing and crankshaft. All the internal components (except crankshaft) will be brand new. The short block, cylinder head casing and crankshaft are shot bead blasted and inspected for cracks and defects; if needed the parts are machined to factory specifications. A longblock diesel engine comes minus the bolt on accessories. You only get the complete short block, complete cylinder head assembly, all new internal lubricated components, valve cover group and oil pan group. Because you use your bolt on accessories this option can save you several thousands of dollars. Ask your engine specialist for details on the longblock diesel engine assembly you need.
.) Remanufactured Drop In Diesel Engines - Available on most diesel engines. Drop in diesel engines will be fairly complete to include the complete longblock assembly, skins, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, reman turbo, reman injectors, flashed ECU, injector pump and bell housing group. These engine are usually more expensive but if you are having problems with your turbo, injectors or ECU this will save you a considerable amount of money. Ask your engine specialist for details about a remanufactured drop in diesel engine.
.) Remanufacture your Diesel Engine (R&R) - Available on all diesel engines where your core is rebuildable. Our suppliers will send a freight truck to your mechanic, pick up your diesel engine and have it shipped to them. Once they receive your engine they will completely tear it down, fully inspect the short block, cylinder head casing and crankshaft. Once all work has been done to your short block, cylinder head casing and crankshaft the engine will be fully assembled with all new internal parts and fully Dyno tested prior to shipping the engine back to your mechanic. We ask that you leave the turbo, injectors, injector pump and ECU with the engine to be sure when you receive it back for installation the engine is working properly. There is no core charge associated with this option. Ask your engine specialist for details about remanufacturing your diesel engine.
.) Used Longblock or Drop In Diesel Engines - Available on most diesel engines. All used diesel engines are completely tested prior to being removed. Used engines are just that USED, they will have some miles or hours on them and that will be documented for your review prior to purchasing the engine. Used diesel engines are usually left as complete as possible and will include the turbo, injectors, injector pump, ECU and wiring as noted at the time you are giving a price.
